Improving Well-Being Through Personalized Treatment

At Serene Health & Wellness, we understand that men’s health needs are unique and require personalized attention. That’s why we offer a range of services tailored to meet the specific needs of our male patients. From testosterone replacement therapy to growth hormone optimization, we provide comprehensive treatment plans focusing on restoring optimal function and improving overall well-being.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

Low testosterone can decrease muscle mass, fatigue, low libido, and other symptoms that can affect daily life. Our TRT program focuses on treating low to “normal” testosterone levels to get men back to their optimum levels and enjoy a fulfilling life. Improvement typically occurs stepwise over 3-12 months, starting with psychological improvements and progressing to physical and sexual improvement.

Testosterone Cypionate

Testosterone Cypionate is the gold standard for testosterone replacement therapy. Our dosing is tailored to each patient and administered via once or twice-weekly subcutaneous injections at home. Common side effects include oily skin, acceleration of balding, testicular atrophy, decreased sperm counts, elevated hematocrit, and acne. Therefore, it is contraindicated in those with a history of blood clots, heart attack, stroke, uncontrolled hypertension, enlarged prostate, and prostate or breast cancer.

Anastrozole

Anastrozole is an aromatase inhibitor that prevents testosterone from converting into estradiol, producing more natural testosterone. It is most commonly used to help control estradiol levels and is typically dosed twice weekly. Side effects include elevated liver enzymes, hot flashes, headaches, nausea, and irritation to the injection site.

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG)

HCG stimulates the cells within the testes to produce testosterone. It helps prevent testicular atrophy and preserves fertility in men while on TRT. HCG is given via subcutaneous injections 2-3 times per week. Common side effects include gynecomastia (male breasts), nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and irritation to the injection site.

Clomiphene Citrate

Clomiphene Citrate is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that blocks estrogen from binding to pituitary receptors, which increases FSH and LH hormones, ultimately increasing testosterone and sperm production. As a result, clomiphene is often used for infertility. Common side effects include gynecomastia (male breasts), dizziness, mood instability, visual disturbances, headaches, and irritation to the injection site.

Growth Hormone Optimization (GHO)

Growth hormone optimization therapy is commonly used as adjunct therapy with TRT. It promotes the secretion of human growth hormone (HGH) from the pituitary gland, which improves energy, strength, and stamina, increases muscle mass, improves sleep, accelerates recovery time, and increases bone density. We monitor growth hormone levels and ensure routine blood work and follow-up appointments are provided.

Sermorelin Acetate

Sermorelin Acetate is a structural analog of the Growth Hormone -Releasing Hormone (GHRH) that stimulates the natural secretion of GH from the pituitary and activates GHRH receptors. Sermorelin is injected nightly and is cycled for approximately 3 months. Common side effects include increased appetite, nausea, facial flushing, dizziness, tachycardia (rapid heart rate), or irritation to the injection site.

Ipamorelin Acetate

Ipamorelin acetate comprises five amino acids that activate the pituitary gland to produce more growth hormone. Ipamorelin provides a slower rate of release of GH, making the process more natural. Ipamorelin is injected subcutaneously nightly and is cycled every three to six months. Common side effects include excessive tiredness, water retention, stomach cramping, headache, or peripheral numbness.

Ibutamoren (MK-677)

Ibutamoren (MK-677) is a ghrelin (a hormone that tells us we are hungry) agonist that activates the production of the growth hormone receptor, producing training, physical, and health benefits. Common side effects include water retention, joint pain, hunger, depression, headaches/migraines, and reduced insulin sensitivity. MK-677 is a once-daily oral tablet cycled for three months.

Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is defined as the inability to achieve or maintain adequate erections, and it affects a large number of men worldwide. At Serene Health & Wellness, the team focuses on making patients feel comfortable and whole by providing medication therapy to combat erectile dysfunction.
At Serene Health & Wellness, we understand that men’s health needs are unique and require personalized attention. From testosterone replacement therapy to growth hormone optimization, we provide comprehensive treatment plans focusing on restoring optimal function and improving overall well-being.
Effects typically last approximately four to five hours. Tadalafil (generic for Cialis) is a daily oral PDE5 inhibitor that allows for better blood flow to the penis, resulting in more adequate erections. Once daily or as-needed dosing is available, making this a great option for busy men. It can be effective for up to 36 hours, depending on the dose.
Patients who use nitrate medications and have low or uncontrolled high blood pressure, liver disease, or severe kidney disease are contraindications for both medications. In addition, it is important to note that an erection lasting longer than four hours, also known as priapism, is a medical emergency, and medical treatment should be sought immediately.
At Serene Health & Wellness, the team provides comprehensive and personalized care to help men address their health concerns and improve their overall quality of life.
